Phillip Fujii
Phil is the community
relations manager for Vulcan Inc., a property owner in South Lake
Union. Vulcan creates and advances a variety of world-class
endeavors and high-impact initiatives in its mission to change and
improve the way people live, learn, do business and experience the
world. Prior to Vulcan, Fujii worked with the City of Seattle for
more than 25 years in various capacities, such as urban designer
for downtown projects, council legislative assistant, City Light
project manager, neighborhood planner, and sector manager.

Robert Grossman
Robert participated in the Cascade Neighborhood planning process
during the Commons initiative. He subsequently chaired the
Neighborhood Character Committee in development of the adopted SLU
Neighborhood Plan and has continued to participate in ongoing
monitoring of the plan. He led the initial organizational efforts
for the Mercer Portal beautification project, and has been
involved in SLUFAN since its inception. He represents PEMCO in
neighborhood planning issues.

Jerry Dinndorf
Jerry Dinndorf is the
Seattle District Manager for the Associated General Contractors of
Washington (AGC). AGC is the oldest and largest commercial
construction trade association in the state of Washington, in
existence for more than 80 years. It has nearly 600 member
companies with over 30,000 employees. The chapter headquarters of
AGC has been located in the South Lake Union neighborhood since
1970 in a building the Association constructed and own. A long
term land owner, property manager, and advocate for its
membership, the AGC has a strong interest in the health and
vitality of the South Lake Union neighborhood and the City of
Seattle. As Seattle District Manager Mr. Dinndorf’s
responsibilities include industry relations with local governments
and a variety of membership support functions. He has over 30
years of experience in transportation and growth management
planning and advocating for these issues. |

Jill Mackie
Jill is the Director of External Affairs for the Seattle Times
Company. The Seattle Times is one of the largest locally owned
daily metropolitan newspapers remaining in the U.S. The Seattle
Times headquarters have been located in the South Lake Union
neighborhood for nearly 70 years. As an employer, landowner, and a
community citizen interested in the long-term health of the city
and this specific neighborhood, The Times has an interest in how
the community develops. |

Diane Masson
Diane is the Director of
Marketing for Mirabella, Seattle’s most successful not-for-profit
Continuing Care Retirement Community and future home to 500
seniors in South Lake Union. Diane applies her years of experience
in the Senior Living industry to help seniors transition
successfully through life’s changes, into new homes that can
provide them the services they need and the amenities they desire
for a more actively involved and fulfilling lifestyle. A longtime
resident of Seattle, Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Marketing/Management from Central Washington University, and a
Certification from the University of Texas as a Retirement Housing
Professional. She is also an active member of the Marketing
Steering Committee for the American Association of Homes and
Services for the Aging (AAHSA) and the Conference Planning Team
for the Washington Association of Homes and Services for the Aging
(WAHSA). |

Dawn Oliver
Dawn is the Director of Development and Admissions for Morningside
Academy, a non-profit school dedicated to providing a community
service to help children and youth to catch up and get ahead. Some
students may have a learning disability, attention deficit
disorder or another disability. Some may not have any disability.
All students have average or above average intelligence. Dr. Kent
Johnson, Founder and Executive Director, began the school in
Seattle 25 years ago in his living room. The school today is under
the leadership of both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Joanne Robbins and has
evolved to be an on-site laboratory school for Grades 1—9. Another
division of Morningside is the teachers’ academy with an on-site
division that trains teachers each summer and an outreach program
that travels to train teachers in other parts of the country and
the world. The school’s home is in the heart of South Lake Union
on Westlake Avenue North.
Dawn is delighted to help the school to become an integral part of
this neighborhood while also serving to safeguard the best
interests of the community by serving on the Board.

Steven Paget
Steven is a senior consultant with Olympic Associates Company, a
50 person firm based in South Lake Union providing design,
engineering and construction support services to the building
industry. Steven's professional and personal focus is on
developing sustainable solutions for neighborhoods and the built
environment. His experience includes project management,
sustainable design, environmental policy and planning. Steven is
active in the Puget Sound Sustainable Development Center, the
Cascadia Regional Green Building Council and the Sustainable
Development Advocacy Committee.

Robbie Phillips
Robbie is the Community Relations Manager at Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center. At the Hutchinson Center,
interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists and
humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer,
HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Our researchers, including three
Nobel laureates, bring a relentless pursuit and passion for
health, knowledge and hope to their work and to the world. The
Center occupies nearly 14 acres in the South Lake Union
neighborhood, with a focus on environmental stewardship and
sustainability in its facilities.
Robbie has worked at the Center since 1999, and commutes to work
by bicycle most days. Both she and the Hutchinson Center care
about the South Lake Union neighborhood, and want to see it grow
and flourish.

Scott Redman
Scott is the Executive Vice President for Business Development and
Administration at Sellen Construction Company. Sellen was founded
by Scott's step-grandfather, John H. Sellen, on 9th Avenue North
in the South Lake Union neighborhood in 1944. Sellen has grown to
become the largest locally owned general contractor in the Puget
Sound region and employs over 500 men and women who specialize in
preconstruction and construction services in the medical, office,
education, performing arts, non-profit, and tenant improvement
markets. Sellen has remained an active and engaged member of the
South Lake Union neighborhood and in 1999 constructed its new
corporate headquarters building on Westlake Avenue. |

Dick Wagner
Dick is the Founding Director of The Center for Wooden Boats, a
hands-on maritime museum. Wagner has long been active in community
affairs. He was President of the Floating Homes Association,
member of the Mayor's Small Business Task Force, President of the
Association of King County Historical Organization, and
Co-Chairman of the Parks and Open Space Committee of the South
Lake Union Planning Organization. |
